Our History
The story of Minka Blue is really the story if the Binney family, and how the power of love for our wonderful David can motivate us, and show our team what disability care, what kindness to our community can be like and how wonderful it feels to really help people in a meaningful and purposeful way.
We come from humble beginnings - a family with a disabled son who wanted the NDIS scheme to work well for everyone who needs it. The only way to make sure that happened was to be part of the scheme in a meaningful way as a registered provider. My entire family works in Minka Blue to help make a difference for all of our clients and their families.
Minka is formed. We begin working in Bathurst
Named after the founders beloved black pug and her son's favourite colour. We are NDIS registered for Plan Management. We started in July 2019 and never looked back. We had 2 care clients and the right attitude towards care and community spirit. In September we leased The Hub at 107 Keppel St as our base.

We became NDIS registered
By the start of 2020 we had over 30 clients and 20 staff. We were on our way.We became registered for all core services and complex care, we started our first SIL, we supported the local community throughout the COVID epidemic and we grew by double again.
We became SIL providers
We now had several SIL homes and were able to advocate and support many more participants in Bathurst. We never closed our doors to anyone during the dark COVID times, and grew rapidly.
We open our Bathurst Office
We are now established as part of the Bathurst landscape and open our colourful office at 112 Keppel St. We expanded our admin team and plan management crew.
2023
We open our Brisbane Head Office
We focused on the basics and education for our fabulous team. We opened our head office in Brisbane. We also added to our fleet of accessible vehicles with some stylish black vans in Bathurst
2024
We open our first purpose built SIL home
We open "Louisa" - our own development in Bant Street Bathurst. 70 staff and counting; plans to grow again in regional Australia so watch this space.

We open a dedicated Support Coordination Office in Bathurst
In the next year we will be working with other like minded registered businesses to expand our custom designed homes and provide care to a greater number of people in our local community.
